Under minimal supervision, provide technical expertise and structured approaches pertaining to assessing, planning, building and testing disaster recovery processes. Proficient in current technologies, industry best practices, and advanced disaster recovery solutions. Combine technical and interpersonal skills to provide disaster recovery solutions for Information Technology support groups and Lines of Business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform assessments on applications for technical recovery capabilities through data collection and analysis.
- Focus on processes and infrastructure supporting readiness, recovery and resumption of business operations.
- Identify risks/vulnerabilities and make recommendations to improve recovery processes that meet Truist’s needs, as well as Audit and Regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and knowledge necessary to develop and test disaster recovery plans/processes for infrastructure and applications.
- Focus on technology requirements needed for recovery such as data, hardware, software and network.
- Bridge responsibilities between Information Technology support groups and Lines of Business by setting expectations, assigning accountability and identifying key dependencies.
- Provide strategic direction and tactical support with implementation and/or remediation of disaster recovery processes by applying Industry Best Practices, Information Technology governance, and an enterprise wide perspective.
- Goal is to integrate disaster recovery solutions into technology design and engineering phases to provide cost effective solutions, better recovery capability, more automated processes and consistent methodologies.
- Combine technical and interpersonal skills to increase mutual supportiveness between Information Technology groups and Lines of Business (and third party vendors as applicable).
- Provide effective leadership and communication to increase awareness, improve partnerships, and enhance processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in development or application support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- In- depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices.
- Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
- Ability to plan and manage projects.
- Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices.
- Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
- Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and related training
- Five years of relevant experience in Information Technology
- Understanding of enterprise application architecture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work some weekends/holidays
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
- Working knowledge of PC applications, including Microsoft Office products
- Experience administering with storage technologies (NAS, SAN, storage automation, EMC, NetAPP, IBM, Hitachi), and/or Unix technologies (RHEL, AIX), and/or other technology disciplines (Database, Web, Network, etc.)
- Knowledge of multiple programming/script languages with proficiency in development of systems and program interfaces (SQL, C#, Python, Powershell, Bash, Java, Javascript, etc.)
- Experience with scripting, automation, and/or orchestration of infrastructure platforms (Automic, Process Automation Manager, MS SCO, Ansible, HPOO, Terraform, etc.)
- Experience with tools (Gitlab, Aritifactory, Openstack, Openshift, MS SSIS, etc.)
