The Credit Delivery teams underwrite credit products to new and existing clients and actively manage the existing portfolio in order to meet client needs while also ensuring appropriate risk/return strategies. The group underwrites lead and non-lead opportunities that span from investment grade to sponsor-owned, leveraged transactions and executes amendments, refinancings and ancillary credit product approvals. Responsible for ongoing client dialogue, including product partner opportunity identification where appropriate. Actively manages portfolio risk through risk rating integrity, annual client reviews, watchlist management, and amendments/waivers, as well as executing compliance, audit and regulatory guidelines and reviews. The group will also be responsible for early identification of emerging credit problems and industry trends in order to initiate risk mitigation actions and ensure appropriate capital allocation.

1. Leads a team of 10-15 Directors, VPs, Associates & Analysts aligned by Industry or Region.
2. Oversees underwriting activity for credit products and ensures high quality underwriting efforts enable sound, efficient and profitable credit decisions that support the group's business development goals. 
3. Effectively manages resources to support underwritings, refinancings and amendments across the portfolio and actively participates when necessary, particularly for more complex, levered, PEG sponsored and/or Left Lead transactions.
4. Facilitates discussions with Coverage, Risk Management, Acquisition Finance, Execution & Structuring and Product Partners to ensure successful balance of client and risk considerations, and influences decision makers regarding client acquisition and evaluation of potential credit/business opportunities.
5. Actively manages a large and complex credit portfolio, ensures risk rating integrity and timely completion of all credit process metrics.
6. Drives proactive identification of industry and portfolio trends to ensure early detection of credit issues in order to initiate risk mitigation actions, particularly for higher risk clients and sectors.
7. Demonstrates knowledge mastery of the group's portfolio and industry/market and is the primary point person for providing updates and guidance on issues and trends.
 

1. Undergraduate degree.
2. 8 years of experience in underwriting, portfolio management, and credit decision making for corporate and investment banking clients.
3. Subject Matter Expert level understanding of accounting, credit, structuring, underwriting and legal documentation.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
5. Licenses: Series 79; Series 63; SIE.
